We work in special conditions, with special kind of matter - that is why prioritising safety at PGE Energetyka Kolejowa S.A. is an everyday reality and often a matter of life and death. We are convinced that real safety should be shaped in cooperation with employees based on their knowledge, experience and practice. Our joint activities have resulted in safety improvement initiatives and continuous improvement of safe work standards. Between 2016 and 2020, we reduced accidents by 34% compared to 2011-2015. Working to improve the safety of our employees is an ongoing task. We have created Mission ZERO, a multi-dimensional programme of change in all areas of the company with the goal of eliminating workplace injuries and fatalities.

In November 2020, on the initiative of PGE Energetyka Kolejowa S.A., Dobra Energy Foundation was launched. Its main objectives are to prevent the digital exclusion of children and young people, support the implementation of innovative ideas and co-financing of initiatives in the field of ecology and environmental protection.
In addition, we cooperate with the PKP Group Foundation and we financially support numerous charity initiatives, such as treatment of seriously ill employees and financing initiatives commemorating events from the history of the railways.
Since 2017, we have been running the GrantSocials programme, which aims to encourage employees to get involved in their community or neighbourhood. As part of the programme, we offer funding of up to PLN 3,000 for the implementation of submitted initiatives to improve the environment.
