Powering the energy transition

Our vision of a green railway, as set out in Strategy 2030, determines activities related to the energy transformation of the entire Polish railway sector. By 2030, we want 85% of Polish trains to be powered by green energy. Therefore, we actively cooperate with the entire rail industry and operate in the Centre for Railway Energy Efficiency (CEEK), where we jointly develop and implement energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions. The CEEK is joined by 95% of all domestic carriers, the infrastructure manager PKP PLK, and industry experts. As part of the CEEK, we have created the Green Railway ® programme, which has been successively joined by other entities determined to use RES to power their transports.
