A virtual walk through Europe's largest traction energy storage facility and a presentation of Poland's first innovative eco-driving system - we invite you to visit the PKP Energetyka zone at the TRAKO 2021 International Railway Fair on September 21-24 in Gdansk's AmberExpo. You will be able to see the equipment and technical solutions we are presenting for the first time in Hall B, at booth No. 37.
At our booth during TRAKO, you will be able to learn about those innovative technologies we are still working on developing, as well as those already in operation. Each visitor will be able to "visit" the largest traction energy storage facility launched by PKP Energetyka in early July, which is located in Garbce near Żmigród. How is this possible? Thanks to virtual reality goggles, we will transport our guests from the Gdansk trade fair hall directly to Lower Silesia and show how the innovative, technologically advanced and unique on a continental scale system looks and works, thanks to which we strengthen the security and quality of traction energy supply, and soon it will also serve to increase the use of renewable energy sources on the railroads in Poland. Similar infrastructure is in operation in Japan, for example, but its capabilities and importance for the safety of the railroad power grid are smaller. Visitors to the PKP Energetyka stand will have a unique opportunity to see where access is available to only a few.
During TRAKO, PKP Energetyka will also present at its booth a special train driver simulator, using our country's first state-of-the-art dynamic system for recommending efficient train driving. Our company is involved in a project to create a coherent system of eco-driving on railroads in Poland, in cooperation with rail carriers and PKP PLK, as part of the Center for Energy Efficiency of Railways (CEEK) initiative. Its implementation is now entering a decisive phase - during the fair, anyone willing will be able to test the software, which prompts how to drive a train to consume as little electricity as possible. So our visitors will be able to feel like drivers of the (near) future - the first implementations of this technically advanced system are planned for mid-2022. A visit to PKP Energetyka's booth will therefore be a unique opportunity to test right now the solutions that will soon enable carriers to optimize traction energy consumption and increase the level of train driving safety.
We would also like to invite you to participate in the "Railway for Climate - Climate for Railways" meeting organized by the ProKolej Foundation and the Center for Railway Energy Efficiency (CEEK) on September 22 from 10:00 am in AmberExpo, room 1B. During it, PKP Energetyka will sign letters of intent with more rail carriers declaring their participation in the Green Railway Program, which aims to transition Poland's rail power supply to energy from renewable sources. During the event, a research report on the environmental potential of rail transportation will also be presented, and invited guests will take part in a panel discussion on the need for an environmental transformation of railroads in Poland.
We also encourage you to visit our stand on TRAKO Education and Career Day - September 24. At that time you will be able to talk to PKP Energetyka employees about job offers and professional opportunities in our company. We will be happy to introduce everyone to what challenging work in the company looks like at the interface between energy and railroads. This year, as in the two previous years, PKP Energetyka received the prestigious international Top Employer certificate. At the fair's conference center, at 10:30 a.m. in Room 1C, we will also talk about our MOCnyStart Internship Program. Schoolchildren and students are encouraged to register for visitors to the Fair on Education and Career Day - here.
