PKP Energetyka is in the process of introducing a new PPE code format

PKP Energetyka informs that it has begun the process of introducing a new format of the PPE code in order to standardize it throughout the country in accordance with Section A.5.16. of the Instruction for the Operation and Maintenance of the Distribution Network (hereinafter referred to as "IRiESD"). The above change is related to the planned standardization of information exchange and implementation in Poland of the Central Energy Market Information System (CSIRE) referred to in the Energy Law of April 10, 1997.

The new format of the PPE code and the rules for its assignment and renumbering are defined in the TNC - points A.5.16. to A.5.21. The format of the new PPE code will be in accordance with the international GS1/GSRN standard with the following form:

• 590 - prefix of the Polish GS1 organization,
• 5088 - PKP Energetyka S.A. number assigned by the Polish GS1 organization,
• S1-S10 - the unique identifier assigned by the company for a given PPE,
• K - check digit determined in accordance with the algorithm published by the GS1 organization.

The planned entry into force of the new code format will be no earlier than March 20, 2023.

After the effective date of the new PPE code format, communications with PKP Energetyka S.A. will be used only in the new format specified above, including matters started and not completed before the effective date of the new PPE code format.
