PKP Energetyka among the best companies caring for sustainable development

PKP Energetyka was awarded a gold medal in the EcoVadis ranking, which evaluates organizations around the world for sustainable development. The company received 72 out of 100 possible points, placing it among the top 8 percent of best-rated companies in the industry worldwide.

PKP Energetyka has consistently submitted to verification by the independent international agency EcoVadis for the past three years. The areas assessed include environmental and climate impact, social aspects, ethics, and supply chain.

Overall, PKP Energetyka improved its score by 2 points and received 72 out of 100 possible points, resulting in EcoVadis awarding the gold medal. Compared to the previous survey, the company was rated better in the Ethics area, improving its score by as much as 20 points and scoring 90/100 in this category. In the areas of environment, labor issues and supply chain, ratings remained at the same high level.

Consistent implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Strategy enables us to improve our performance. EcoVadis is an independent international agency that assesses corporate sustainability policies. A unique methodology for assessing corporate social responsibility of companies from 155 countries covers over 198 categories of supply and 21 CSR indicators. More than 55 thousand companies are working with EcoVadis to reduce risk, stimulate innovation and build transparency and trust among business partners. The test methodology is based on international standards such as Global Reporting Index (GRI), ISO 26000 and Global Compact assumptions and UN targets.
