PKP Energetyka a signatory to the Diversity Charter

PKP Energetyka has joined the ranks of signatories to the Diversity Charter, an international initiative under the aegis of the European Commission, coordinated in Poland by the Responsible Business Forum. By doing so, the company confirmed the very important importance of promoting equality and diversity in the workplace, which is also reflected in PKP Energetyka's Strategy 2030. The company regularly develops measures to create a friendly work environment, including through the Target Gender Equality - Equal Opportunities in Business program. Confirmation of the effectiveness of activities carried out in this area is provided by, among others, four awards with the title of Top Employer or an award in the ESG Leaders competition for the ESG Strategy developed at the company.

One of the activities to promote equality and diversity in daily work is the "Women's POWER" team, which aims to develop solutions and initiatives to strengthen women at all levels of the organization and adapt the work environment to make PKP Energetyka a women-friendly company. In addition, in 2022 PKP Energetyka will train all its managers in diversity, with a special focus on generational and gender diversity. The goal of these initiatives is to make PKP Energetyka more attractive as an employer to young people and women.

PKP Energetyka's efforts to create the best work environment are regularly recognized - this year the company has been awarded the prestigious Top Employer title for the fourth time in a row. Thus, PKP Energetyka was among the 73 laureates and at the same time the best employers in Poland, who meet high international standards concerning, among other things, recruitment and personnel policy.

The Diversity Charter is an international initiative for the promotion and dissemination of equal treatment and diversity management policies in the workplace, under the auspices of the European Commission.
In Poland, the coordinator of the initiative is the Responsible Business Forum, whose partner since last November is PKP Energetyka. The charter's signatories include more than 20,000 organizations from 26 European countries, including more than 240 Polish employers.

The Polish Diversity Charter belongs to the European Diversity Charter Platform at the European Commission's Directorate General for Justice. This gives Signatories the opportunity to meet regularly, learn from each other's knowledge and experience, and learn about the good practices of companies from all Diversity Charter countries.
